I can activate "click lock" under control panel, but this only works for the left mouse button.
Considering it's the left mouse click that the OP is having issues with... you could have given more information as I'm guessing this is the solution to the OP's problem.
Look in the Mouse/Trackpad pref pane, or maybe under Universal Access.

I recently downloaded and installed the F@H client onto my PowerBook G4, but now find that the software just makes the fans go like the clappers so have stopped running ot. Is there a way to transfer the allocated work unit onto my iMac G5 and queue it directly behind the WU the iMac is currently working on?
The WU doesn't have to be completed until the 28th April so there's plenty of time for the iMac to do both.

I just bought a 16G Nano and love it! Because I am quite late in the game with the iPods, I would have to say no to the scroll wheel. I've owned 2 iPhones and have an iPad, so all I've been accustomed to now are the finger swipes....so convenient and responsive, love it!!!

Try resetting the SMC and troubleshoot your MagSafe adapter. Instructions for both in the CHARGING section of the following link. This should answer most, if not all, of your battery questions:

You can put it on your imac/transfer it, but you can't put it in a queue behind the WU it is doing now. When your iMac has finished its WU and send it to Stanford, stop the folding client and replace the following items in your fah folder from your powerbook:
- work folder
- unitinfo.txt
- queue.dat
- fahlog.txt
Start your client again and it should go further with the WU. You might need to restart your iMac to use the extra altivec boost.

This is an Apple site, not a science site. There is a justification for having iPhone forums on an Apple site. There isn't a good justification for having a Science forum on an Apple site. At least, nobody's put forth a good one yet.
http://www.apple.com/science/
I believe I didn't make myself terribly clear. Not terribly interested in random discussions of science, or even the science behind Apple products. More...the use of Apple's in research. Their interests, especially in terms of performance, are vastly different even than other pro-users.
CalBoy's idea is also a good one - if there isn't enough volume for "Macs in Higher Ed", is there enough volume for "Macs in the Workplace?".

Hey guys, check out this link I found on Newsfactor:
Sony To Launch Multiformat DVD Drive (http://www.newsfactor.com/perl/story/19159.html
)
Sony will introduce a DVD drive for personal computers that supports both competing formats, DVD-R/RW and DVD+R/RW. The move represents a marked departure for the electronics company, which, one year ago, announced that it had no plans to support the DVD-R/RW format for computer products.
Could this be steps taken to end this DVD+\- format war?

Whether [TB] will happen or not, will depend ... But if the costs are too high in their opine, they may skip it this go around.
We'll have to wait and see to be sure.
And now we know: next Mac pro will have TB.

The package doesn't really install anything. It seems to check for 10.6.5 Build 10H707 and then deletes the batteryd.plist that seems to have erroneously showed up on specific bundles of MacBookAir 3,1 & 3,2
http://discussions.apple.com/thread.jspa?threadID=2692322
Perhaps it was fixed with 10.6.6 but some are still running 10.6.5 ?

Hi, I think I need to repair my installation of Leopard. I have been getting a lot of console messages and have also noticed that Safari has not been handling certain loads well.
Is it possible to do this and keep my current applications installed and home directory untouched?
Thanks.
Would I be able to do a clean install, then use TM to restore my home folder?

lol....
If photographers behaved how some of you guys do, I would quit every single forum...
Q: "Hey guys, took a few shots, looking for some pointers on where to improve..."
A: "!#!#%#!!! Blah blah blah school 10 years undervalued degrading industry blah blah !#%@!!!!! eff off buddy!!!!"
But in crankypant's defense, it is helpful to include an image/example in the Original Post so we actually know that you are not simply "Trying to get free work done".
OP: I would go with citenzens idea of the birds, otherwise I have found that the only good way to "Create" clouds (besides excellent freehand draw/paint skills) is to clone existing clouds and use a combination of brushes and layers to blend them. into the shape you want.

Okay, so it's oversized and you're not offering anything for sale.

Try dragging to the trash can.
I had an app fail install and already dropped it in the Applications folder and Launchpad. Clicked on it in launchpad and got a ? mark in the middle of the icon, tried to delete it any way I could and found dragging it to the trash can works.

I just wanted to chime in on Render Clouds...its not really good for rendering clouds but its great for texture artists and 3D modelers ;) I use it all the time to break up patterns.

You could use this widgit (http://www.widgetgallery.com/view.php?widget=36036) with konfabulator.
Or use Mighty Mouse (http://www.versiontracker.com/dyn/moreinfo/macosx/18336) to make the cursor bigger.

I thought that this was interesting. I doubt anyone here would be able to afford it, but some of you may find it interesting to see. an Apple 1 is going up for auction with it's original packaging. (http://www.christies.com/lotfinder/lot_details.aspx?intObjectID=5370965) and it's apparently expected to go for about $200,000

I upgraded my 3G to 4.0 and the battery life went down a little but the speed stayed the same as far as I can tell. I stayed with that for a week or so and decided to JB it so I could see if multitasking really slowed it down that much. It did a little when I had more than 3 or 4 apps running and it did use more battery but not much in the long run so I'm sticking with 4.0 on my 3G.
