If anyone has an easier idea I 'm all ears. I am just trying to make a photo dvd with music in imovie. I select all and drag into the bar that says drag pics here. If I do 1 @ a time it works if I do all 120 of them I get "Error during import-The file could not be imported: The file could not be found." Any ideas. Is there an easier way to make a photo dvd? Thanks

SETI@home NewsSETI@home has completed its transition to BOINC (Berkeley Open Infrastructure for Network Computing). BOINC, developed at U.C. Berkeley, is a framework for volunteer computing projects like SETI@home.
Switching your computer to the new "SETI@home/BOINC" is easy. Visit http://setiathome.berkeley.edu for instructions. We'll be shutting down the "SETI@home Classic" project on December 15. The workunit totals of users and teams will be frozen at that point, and the final totals will be available on the web.
Scientists at other universities are using BOINC to create volunteer computing projects in areas like molecular biology, high-energy physics, and climate change study. i have an imac g5, with a high display set. i am trying to create a website but if i look at my website on a pc or something lower it messes up all my settings. is there a way to set the settings while making my website. by the way i am using dreamweaver 8. im hoping my message is clear. thx

Pretty new to app development, still in the learning process.

Alright so I made the mistake of installing lion on my macbook pro and would like to uninstall and restore from my time machine back up. Only trouble is, can I restore from a time machine back up made while was running lion? Or am I going to have to revert back to a point before that? I'll be installing Snow Leopard from an install disc.
I would think not, the lion time machine backups will be backing up lion system files. You would need to use a time machine or clone of the snow leopard since you want to revert back to that OS.

He only has the 256M in the iBook... but it's worked fine for him before. It might have slowed down before when he had a bunch of things running, but never did programs crash and the computer reboot on its own. He doesn't do much with it... firefox- mail- ichat- word- itunes- iphoto. That's about all he runs. But starting last week.. the system went from running fine for him.. to being unstable.. it seems that "something" happened. I was thinking that the prebinding not being able to complete might be a clue to what that "something" was.
He has no external devices other than his digital camera..
I haven't tried anything with different users- I'll try that next.
I might end up having to do an archive and install.. but I was hoping to find and fix the problem. I'm sure I'll be plesantly surprized with how easy the archive and install goes.. (will I need to archive to an external drive?) I was hoping to use this opertunity to learn more about fixing OSX!

could be a bug with a program that "hacks" the system, such as an icon editor. try turning off any login items and restarting. also, for everyone else (royal pineapple already posted this there), check out my panther bugs and problems thread at funmac.com (http://www.funmac.com/showthread.php?s=&threadid=2063)

It is shocking how ignorant and backward many of our lawmakers are.

Does this mean we can force those bastions of "traditional values" to pony up any pay due property taxes on their multi-million-dollar facilities?
That's the real way to fix the deficit, make churches pay property taxes.

I've been trying to make an image of my hard drive so I can burn it to a CD or a DVD. I want to do a sparse image. When I do it, I always get errors. Usually something stating the disk is in use. I even get similar errors when I boot from my Panther CD and try to use that Disk Utility. What am I doing wrong?

I would agree with this. It's not a universities place to promote values on this regard, whether Christian or homosexual or agnostic or theistic abstinence or anything. There is a difference between supporting and promoting.
Unfortunately, he shoots himself in the foot in the next paragraph indicating it's a get even jab at "the left" which loses any support I might have given this measure based on what I just said.

There is a large difference in my mind between a "gay center" (as you call it Lee, not sure if there is a better name) being a support or resource for homosexual people and it participating in promotion.
